Alto Golf Course
Just two kilometres away from the Country Club is the Golf Club and it's 18 hole golf course which is near the Picturesque fishing village of Alvor - Opened in 1991, Alto the last to be designed by the late Sir Henry Cotton. It boasts all the fine features normally found on a course near the sea including gently rolling fairways, immaculate contoured greens and strategically placed bunkers and water hazards.

Benamor Golf Course
This was the first Golf course to open to the east of the Capital of the Algarve, Faro. In 1986, Sir Henry Cotton was inspired by the old church in the Quinta de Benamor to set up what was to become the clubhouse of the first golf course in the eastern region of the Algarve it opened its doors in 2000. It lies between Tavira coast and the uplands of the Serra de Caldeurao.

Boavista Golf Course
Boavista is located in a beautiful area of the Western Algarve set overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on a headland between Lagos and Praia da Luz, commanding magnificent views of the bay of Lagos, and in the distance the Monchique hills. The Boavista Resort, is a 250-acre Residential and Leisure development, designed by Howard Swan, the course has been integrated into the existing natural terrain; which make this a delight to the eye.

Castro Marim Golf & Country Club
Opened in 2001 this challenging 18-hole Atlantic Course is part of a 225 hectare property development near the historcal town of Castro Marim, close to the Spanish border with breathtaking mountain, river and sea views. It's the most easterly course on the Algarve and overlooks the broad estuary of the Guadiana river, which forms the border between Portugal and Spain.

Morgado Do Reguengo
Morgado do Reguengo was opened in February 2003 within a 980- hectare estate a few miles inland from Portimao. With views of the nearby Monchique hills, the complex will eventually house two golf courses and a 5 star hotels. The course was designed under PGA European Tour supervision it is one of the Algarve's longest courses; with 3 par-5's on the back nine. length 6,339 Metres.

Palmares Golf Course
Some say it's the jewel in the crown of the Algarve. Some say the landscape is unique. Some make it a must on their Algarve golf tour. We are speaking, about Palmares golf course. The Frank Pennink designed course enjoys a beautiful location, near to the historic city of Lagos, commanding magnificent views of the bay of Lagos and the distant Monchique hills. During springtime, the fairways and hills are covered with the flowering shrubs, acacia.

Parque Da Floresta
Created by the renowned Spanish golf architect Pepe Gancedo in 1985, Parque da Floresta is one of Europe's most spectacular golf courses and is the ideal location for golf holidays in the Algarve, and is located just 15 minutes beyond the historic town of Lagos. This is the most westerly Golf Course on the Algarve. Just 1km west of the village of Burdens, 16 Km west of Lagos; signposted on the right of the EN125 main road.

Penina Golf Course
The Penina course created by Henry Cotton, is now a monument to his memory. Penina was the first course to be built in the Algarve and it was inaugurated by the President of the Republic in 1966. The area used to be a rice-field and it is now surrounded by tall, wide-trunked, trees. Sir Henry Cotton used the drainage ditches of the rice-field to define fairways in some places, and hazards in others. He enlarged them at strategic places modifying their banks by raising them and concealing the water hazards from the less cautious golfers.

Pinheiros Altos
Pinheiros Altos provides a real golfing challenge; the first nine wends its way over and through pine-clad, rolling countryside. The second nine drops down to a valley bottom, where intrusive lakes provide a test of accuracy. Of the four par 3's, it is hard to determine which offers the most challenge. probably this distinction lies with the 159-meter fifth. An accurate tee shot is essential to carry a deep valley into an elevated green which will throw anything off-line away from its surface.

Pinta Golf Course
The Pinta Course is one of the best-designed courses in Europe. It is a Championship course with an exceptional layout designed by the famous American golf course architect, Ronald Fream, and inaugurated in 1992. It has earned a deserved reputation for the outstanding level of maintenance of the course, and its design, which makes it a challenge to golfers of all standards.

Quinta Da Cima
Eighteen holes skilfully scattered by an area of 620.000 m2, the Cima Course show themselves very competitive with dog-legs to the right and to the left and greens well protected by sand hazards and lakes, particularly holes 16, 17 and 18. A stream with dams and permanent flowing water crosses holes 4, 5, 6 and 13.

Quinta Da Ria
This spectacular 18 hole golf course is in the Ria Formosa Natural Park and spreads along an almost flat surface of 660,000 m2 down to the Ria Formosa itself, hanging over it and with a stunning view of the sea. It is a PAR 72, comprising two loops of 9 holes and each loop with 2 PAR 5, five PAR 4 and two PAR 3 holes. Its total length is about 6,016 metres.

Quinta do Gramacho
The world famous star player, Nick Price, has teamed up with the well-known golf course architect, Ronald Fream, to create a uniquely designed 18 hole course with 27 varied greens that enable the golfer to play the same course several times with different greens and new challenges. The design technique has positioned the greens and protective bunkers so that an 18 hole round is a genuine challenge.

Quinta Do Lago - North
Originally Named Rio Formosa after the Rio Formosa National park, this 6,126 metres, par-72 course was co-designed by William Mitchell and Joseph Lee. The golf courses was then renamed Quinta da Lago North.The first hole a 390 metres - Par 4 a drive slightly downhill to a right to left sloping fairway with bunkers on the right and one strategic pine tree on the left.

Quinta do Lago - South
Grand-scale, classy mature undulating, pine-lined course set new standards in the alagrve on opening. Generally wide fairways, Large sloping greens, attractive bunkering and some water.Quinta da Lago brought Algarve golf design to a new level. It has quite a strong British feel to it, Mitchell brought American standards to the course's design and infrastucture.This championship course, was opened in 1974. It has hosted the Portuguese Open eight times.

Salgados Golf Course
Situated in one of the best-known regions of the Algarve, between Albufeira and Armaηγo de Pκra, Salgados is already a "postcard" of Portuguese golf. In fact the proximity of the sea and the variety of lakes make this a very interesting test of golfing skills making it different from other courses in the Algarve. This course gives you the feel of course in Florida, it's adjacant to a bird sanctuary.

San Lorenzo Golf Course
One of Portugal's genuine heavy-weights, San Lorenzo is a course that never fails to impress, with spectacular sea views, an imposing lake and an abundance of wildlife combine to ensure that every round is an adventure in itself. The coures opens with a monster par 5 and never looks back, with holes twisting this way and that, inland and seaward.

Vale do Lobo - Ocean Course
The Ocean Course provides attractive links-style holes adjacant to the Atlantic, and is considered to be one of the finest courses on the Algarve. There are parkland holes, too meandering through the Vale do Lobo estate. The combination provides a challenging course for golfers of all handicaps. The front nine holes of this course underwent a complete remodelling in 2003. The Opening hole is now a tough , par 4 of 423 metres off the back tees.

Vale do Lobo - Royal Course
The Vale do Lobo Royal Course was originally designed by Sir Henry Cotton and was updated by 'American golf architect 'Rocky' Roquemore. It incorporates the world Famous par-3, hole the 16th, which is a spectacular hole which calls for an extensive carry over two yawning chasms in the red sandstone cliffs to the green 176 metres away. It is probably the most photographed hole in the history of golf. The course as been perfected in recent years and is in immacalute condition, and is only 20 minutes drive west of faro Airport.

Vilamoura - Laguna Golf Course
Designed by American Golf Course designer, Joseph Lee, this parkland course built on low-lying coastal land has many heavily bunkered greens and several water hazards to take advantage of the high water table. More exposed than the other courses at this large resort Laguna is often influenced by the sea breezes. The 9th hole is a tricky par-4 with an old well in the middle of the fairway and a lake on the right.and as a feel of a links course.

Vilamoura - Millennium Golf Course
Golf architects Hawtree & Sons were contracted to plan the modification and design work which has culminated in the creation of the new, exciting 18-hole Millennium Golf Course, which was Opened in May 2000. This is an extremely attractive, quality course. A Perfect blend of rolling parkland; and umbrella pines. It is situated adjacant to the Laguna golf course with which it shares a spacous, modern clubhouse.

Vilamoura - Pinhal Golf Course
This attractive course, completed in 1976, was also designed by Frank Pennink, but was subsequently modified by famed golf architect, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The 5th, 12th, 15th and 16th holes were redesigned by Martin Hawtree, another well-known architect. Recently the 14th hole was subject to modifications. The existing characteristics of the layout have been retained and these holes were upgraded to improve the overall condition and diversity of the course.

Vilamoura - The Old Course
Designed by Frank Pennink and opened in 1969, it's one of Portugal's best known golf course. The course is known Internationally for it's outstanding layout which is moulded to the natural contouring of the terrain and integrated into the surroundings. Recent upgrading and modernisation managed by Hawtree & Sons has brought The Old Course up to a new level of excellence, enhancing the image that made it famous.

Vilamoura - Victoria Golf Course
“Victoria Clube de Golfe” is a championship course of 18-hole par 72 course, occupying a total area of 90 hectares and with a total distance of 6,560 meters. Every care has been taken to ensure the preservation of the existing wetlands, the typical vegetation of carob, olives and almond trees, and several lakes, occupying 13 hectares, providing mirrors of water and strategic reservoirs for watering purposes. The course is hosted the World Cup at the end of November 2005.

Vilamoura - Vila Sol Golf Course
Vila Sol, close to Vilamoura, near the outskirts of Quarteira, was the first individual creation in Portugal of the famous English golf architect Donald Steel. He is an architect who above all likes to preserve nature and native vegetation, reducing earthmoving to the minimum by using undulating terrain to create the type of golf course that is within the English philosophy.This is the counterpoint to the American School where elevated tees and greens are indispensable..
