Located in a beautiful area of the Western Algarve set overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on a headland between Lagos and Praia da Luz, commanding magnificent views of the bay of Lagos, and in the distance the Monchique hills. The Boavista Resort, is a 250-acre Residential and Leisure development, designed by Howard Swan, the course has been integrated into the existing natural terrain; which make this a delight to the eye. The 1st Hole gently slopes away downhill to a generous fairway, with views over lakes and tumbling waterfalls bordered by beautiful sub-tropical landscaping. The signature hole on the outward nine is the stunning par-4, 7th hole set against a glorious backdrop of the Atlantic ocean with exhilarating panoramic views extending from Praia da Luz round to the hills of Monchique creating a spectacular backdrop. The par-3 sixth played over a deep ravine, would also be considered a candidate for a signature hole, and on the back nine the scenic 14th measuring 194 metres off the yellow tees where a lake comes into play. The 16th tee par 5 is set at the highest point of the course but it is not until you hit your 2nd shot that the panoramic view come in to play, this is a stunning hole. Each hole was carefully planned to offer an interesting golf course with good bunkering, suitable for all levels.
