The Monastery, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., is a 9-hole, par 35 measuring 2437 metres. The course opened in 1995. It lies within the historical part of the resort and is the perfect complement to the Atlantic Course.

It is a challenging course which is nonetheless easier than the Atlantic Course. High handicap players tend to feel more comfortable playing it but it provides an enjoyable round for any player. Its the lakes that make the Monastry course differant, on some holes the spectacular Sintra mountain range can be viewed.

Full practice facilities include a putting green, a chipping green with 2 bunkers, and a driving range with 20 bays on grass.

Two resident professionals are available for individual tuition or clinics. Buggies, manual and electric trolleys, clubs and shoes can be hired.

From Lisbon Airport. Take The A5 Highway In The Direction Of Cascais. Exit At Alcabideche/Sintra, And Head Towards Penha Longa. Take The Second Exit Off The Roundabout, And The Course is 800 Meters Ahead.
